Our menu is classical British fare, tailored to the seasonal produce available locally. The menu is changed quarterly to reflect the seasons.
All our food is prepared fresh by our highly trained team of chefs, and cooked to order. We would rather offer you good food than fast food, so please be patient during busy periods.
Wherever possible our food is locally produced and sourced.
All our beef is aged at least 28 days for maximum flavour and our fish and seafood are delivered daily.
All the wines we have to offer have been carefully chosen for quality and variety, with a large selection of the wines being sold by the glass. Ask for the wine menu at the bar or view it on our Menus page.
We source our real ales from a selection of local breweries and the ales are changed on a regular basis. In recognition of our fantastic range of real ales, we are Casque Mark approved and recommended by the Good Beer Guide.
We currently serve four permanent beers including Nag's Island Ale, Loddon's Ferryman's Gold, White Horse's Black Beauty and Adnam's Ghost Ship plus four guest ales.
Spirits and Liquors
We stock a huge variety of spirits and liquors, from market leading standards to top end specialities. Including many single malt whiskeys from around the world, XO cognac, speciality gins, rums and vodka.
Teas and Coffees
All our teas and coffees are made to order by our highly trained staff, using fresh beans from the Oxford Coffee Company.
The Nags Head is set on it's own island in the middle of the Thames - a perfect location to spend a Summers afternoon...
The garden is a source of great pride to us, and we work hard to maintain and improve it every year. We now have seating for several hundred guests in the garden as well as a dedicated garden bar, serving both food and drinks, and a woodfire pizza hut.
Friday Nights Rock
Every Friday we introduce a local Rock or Blues act for your entertainment starting from 10pm in the Bar.
Saturday Night Grooves
Saturday nights we have our resident DJ in spinning tunes in the bar to get you in the groove for the weekend
Sunday Afternoon Jazz
